  2.                     "FATDOG PRODUCTIONS CD-ROM"

  4. Welcome to FATDOG PRODUCTION'S CD-ROM.  This CD-ROM provides "CREME 
  5. DE LE CREME" CD-Rom viewers with stills of unequaled quality and 
  6. pleasure.  This CD-Rom plays to PC/AT's with high color display 
  7. cards or standard VGA display cards that are supported with a 
  8. VESA driver.
  9.  
  10.            INSTALLATION FILE FOR FATDOG CD-ROMS!
  11.  
  12. To configure your PC with Expanded Memory, make sure your Config.sys
  13. file has the following:
  14.     DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS
  15.     DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE 2048 FRAME=e000 RAM
  16. If you use QEMM: 
  17.     DEVICE=C:\QEMM\QEMM386.SYS RAM
  18.         (Instead of HIMEM.SYS and EMM386.EXE)
  19. If you are using any other type of memory manager you must look in 
  20. your manual for the appropriate line to be added to your Config.Sys.
  21.  
  22. 1.  Insert the Fatdog CD into your CD-ROM drive
  23.  
  24. 2.  Access your CD-ROM drive [e.g. E: F: <enter>]
  25.  
  26. 3.  At the prompt for the system, type "INSTALL D C <enter>". 
  27.     This Example is if your D drive is a CD-Rom drive and you wish 
  28.     to install the Dirtectory to the C Drive. Follow Instructions.
  29.     [e.g. D E <enter>] - Do not use a colon after the CD-ROM 
  30.     drive letter 
  31.  
  32. 4.  Once installation is finished a FATPIC directory will be 
  33.     created on the Hard drive. 
  34.  
  35. 5.  To start Creme de le Creme go to the Fatpic directory on your 
  36.     Hard Drive and type 
  37.         1.)"GO" <enter> for 24 bit
  38.         2.)"GO256" <enter> for 8 bit
  39.         3.)"pic" <enter> for PICEM 8 bit
  40.  
  41. 7.)If you need to use another viewer please access the viewers 
  42.    directory on the CD-Rom to download onto your system - These 
  43.    are ShareWare and have all of the instructions included. These are 
  44.    zipped files, the PKZ204G Unzip file is included as well.
  45.  
  46. 8.)If your Hard drive is something other than the "C" drive - run 
  47.    the install as noted, with one exception:

  59.     Your video card needs to be VESA compliant.  Most cards 
  60.     require drivers loaded as TSRs during boot.  If you do 
  61.     not have one of these drivers, please contact the card 
  62.     manufacturer.

  64.     Common questions and problems:
  65.  
  66.     1.) The image is very poor - few colors and bad resolution.
  67.       
  68.       You have a non-VESA card or the VESA driver is not 
  69.       loaded when running the program.  Add the driver to 
  70.       your Autoexec.Bat
  71.

  73.     RECOMMENDED COMPUTER CONFIGURATION IS AS FOLLOWS:

  75.   - 386-20/486-33 Mhz.
  76.   - Supported 15 bit high color VGA adapter. 
  77.   - MPC compatible CD-ROM drive (minimum throughput of 150
  78.   - Kilobytes per second) for proper video playback.
  79.   - Microsoft or compatible mouse.
  80.   - VGA monitor compatible with video adapter and/or VESA driver.
  81.   - 640 KB base memory (580 KB base memory free.) 
  82.   - 2 megabytes EXPANDED memory.
  83.   - 580K OF CONVENTIONAL MEMORY
  84.   - DOS 3.3 or higher.

  89.     - Arrows    - Scroll picture
  90.     - *        - Reset picture to original contrast/brightness
  91.     - +        - Increase contrast
  92.     - -        - Decrease contrast

  94.     - Del        - Decrease brightness
  95.     - 0...9        - Set delta for +, -, Ins, Del
  96.     - Space        - Skip to next  picture without saving
  97.     - Return    - Same as space
  98.     - Tab        - Scale image to screen size
  99.     - Backspace    - Display test pattern
  100.     - Esc         - Escape/Abort program

  120. NOTE: If the CD-ROM does not run with your Video Card you may
  121. need to add the appropriate VESA drivers for your system.
